Child Care Health Consultant

Call 828-698-0674 for Child Care Health Consultation services in Henderson, Polk, or Rutherford County.

Child Care Health Consultants (CCHCs) are trained health professionals with education and experience in child and community health and early care and education. CCHCs work with early care and education programs to ensure high quality, safe and healthy environments.

Behavior Support Specialist

Early educators can reach Henderson County’s Behavior Support Specialist by calling 828-698-0674 OR click HERE to request support.

The Behavior Support Specialist helps early educators handle challenging behaviors in the classroom.  She conducts observations and assessments and coaches and consults with early educators. The Behavior Support Specialist works with child care facility directors and teachers to develop behavior support plans to ensure safe and nurturing classrooms for every child.

Technical Assistance Support

We believe that the key to a high-quality early learning experience is found through the joy of play and the confidence inspired by nurturing relationships with caregivers. 

The Early Education Consultants can coach and consult to help improve teacher/child interactions and enhance early care and education quality.  Some focus areas include:
